An all male cast performed the shows but this was to change in the 1974 - 76 shows when Chris Hall and Ian Craddock took the producers mantle, and female Scouters became part of the Gang for the first time.

1978 saw Ron Cattell (formerly of the Edinburgh Gang Show) produce the show which would be the last until 1981 when the show returned to the place of its birth - Oakwood Park. The 1985 show, produced by Sue Pepper, again took up residence at the Hazlitt Theatre - where it has remained until this day!

Over the years a succession of producers have contributed to what has become a modern and successful production, maintaining the original aim of Ralph Reader in providing an opportunity for members of the Scout movement locally  to display their talents, develop a
strong sense of team work and commitment and above all to enjoy themselves!

Many thanks must go to the production team led by Mark Culver and including at various times, Matt Caney, Steph Davies, Gill Symes, Simon Davies, Simon Wade, Toby Simons and Amanda Harle for their commitment and success in achieving a production which is warmly regarded by the local Maidstone Scout Districts and the general public.

And the Show Goes On!
